THE HOUSE OF CHOCOLATE AND ITS CHOCOLATE WONDERS
French Gastronomy: classified as "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
But the City of Light and France also excel in a field that combines technicality, precision, and rigor: Gastronomy. Also, French gastronomy is classified as "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO in 2010. This title proves once again the recognition of this culinary art full of wonders.
Salty or sweet, the local dishes delight the taste buds of gourmets who come to try a food rich in diversity and taste, with a strong and symbolic notion that is the friendly, family cuisine.
La Maison du Chocolat: chocolate for every taste!
In this article we wanted to introduce you to the sweet side of this "French gastronomy". Only a few meters from the Hotel Galileo, La Maison du Chocolat offers you a wide range of chocolates to satisfy your cocoa cravings! Pralines, truffles, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, boxes, spreads... there is something for every taste and every size! La Maison du Chocolat promises you an explosion of flavors and generosity in each of its creations.
Chocolate... but not only!
But this artisanal house founded in 1977 by the chocolate maker Robert Linxe (1929-2014) does not only offer chocolates. You will also find pastries with the very classic macaroons, eclairs and lemon cakes. Classic perhaps, but surprisingly good for sure! Let yourself be tempted by one of these little wonders or by the latest novelty: the "Gâteau de Voyage", a chocolate cake with hazelnut praline and covered with a delicious dark ganache. This pastry is the result of a collaboration between La Maison du Chocolat and the famous pastry chef Christophe Michalak. Inspired by the 19th century Viennese cake, the Sachertorte, the two houses offer an exquisite pastry with both melting and crunchy layers.
